Charlotte Shelley (she/her)

I am Charlotte Shelley, an early years consultant and parent. I work alongside those who are in relationship with children; be that childcare settings, parents, families, early years practitioners or the wider community. My commitment is to help to facilitate connected relationships and my work is based on the principles of the Pikler approach. I came across Emmi Pikler’s work in 2018 and integrated it into my own childcare setting, this gave me the opportunity to really ground the ethos into the practicalities of everyday nursery life. Since 2023 I have been working alongside other childcare providers and families, sharing the understanding and ways to bring it into their work and lives. I am currently working on my final thesis which will enable me to round off over five years of studies with Pikler in Hungary and attain the title “Pikler Professional”. I have a passion for the outdoors and have the great fortune to now live in Cumbria, UK. Nature permeates my work in many ways.
