Dr Andy Hogg (he/him)

Dr Andy Hogg is a SEND specialist, school leader of SEND and education consultant with over 30 years’ experience working across mainstream and specialist settings. He’s held senior roles including assistant headteacher, inclusion manager and SENDCo, where he led whole-school approaches to inclusion and implemented the SEND Code of Practice in practice, not just on paper. Andy is also the director of The Support School and a subject matter expert with Shaping Lives, the UK’s leading SEND-focused apprenticeship provider. His work focuses on developing early years and education professionals so they can better support children with additional needs, particularly in areas like SEND, EAL, behaviour and inclusive curriculum design. He’s worked internationally across the UK, Ireland, China and beyond, supporting schools, training staff, and speaking at conferences on what effective inclusion and SEND support really looks like in practice. Andy is known for his honest, practical approach, bridging the gap between policy and what actually works for children, families and schools on the ground.
