Dylan Scott Little (he/him)

I am an early years educator from Northern Ireland with a strong passion for hands-on, child-led learning. I hold a PGCEi and a Masters in Early Childhood Education, as well as a Masters in Digital Marketing and a Bachelors in Accounting. I currently work in an international school and I am studying for my NPQ in Senior Leadership to further develop my skills in education management. What really inspires me in early childhood education is loose parts play. I was drawn to it after noticing how limiting traditional, one-purpose toys can be when it comes to sparking children’s imagination. Loose parts have transformed how I teach—they allow children to explore freely, take creative risks, and bring their ideas to life. I strongly believe in process over product, and I’m passionate about fostering inclusive, engaging spaces where all children feel empowered to create and collaborate. I also care deeply about sustainability in education and love encouraging the use of recycled and open-ended materials. I’ve delivered training on these topics and enjoy supporting other educators who are starting their own journey with loose parts play.
