A former chef for ten years, I came to early years after a career change with few expectations and prior knowledge. Over the last two years and three work placements I have completed a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and gained experience working with children from three months to five years, but primarily I have been working with pre-school aged children. I have advanced to the role of pre-school leader at my current nursery where I am helping to rewrite the curriculum and collaborating with area managers to use my pre-school room as a centre of excellence training facility for the wider nursery group.
