Ruth Swailes

Ruth Swailes has 30 years experience working in education, as a teacher, moderator, SENCO, Headteacher, Inspector and School Improvement Advisor. She currently works for several Local Authorities and MATS supporting schools and settings as well as working independently nationally and internationally. In 2021 Ruth was named Nursery World Trainer of the Year and the book she co-edited with Aaron Bradbury, “Early Childhood Theories Today” was nominated for Nursery world professional book of the year in 2023. She is the lead author and trainer of the Oxford University press International Early Years Curriculum. She is currently writing a book about curriculum development with Aaron Bradbury.
