Jan’s educational journey began with specialized training in Early Years education, which paved the way for a diverse career. He served as a teacher in Nursery, Reception, and Year 1 classrooms in schools throughout the UK, where he also assumed leadership roles as an Early Years coordinator.

Building upon this practical experience, Jan ventured into consultancy and advisory positions, establishing himself as an Early Years Consultant and Senior Adviser. Notably, he was appointed by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) to spearhead the management of the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile, assuming national responsibility for its implementation and moderation. His contributions extended to developing comprehensive guidance and support materials, and he engaged at a strategic level with policymakers to shape early education policies.
