Dr Dan Wuori (he/him)

Dr Dan Wuori is the Founder and President of Early Childhood Policy Solutions, a consultancy focused on advancing policies that support young children and their families across the United States. He also serves as Strategic Advisor on Early Childhood at the Saul Zaentz Charitable Foundation and as Senior Early Childhood Advisor to The Hunt Institute, where he was previously Senior Director and the founding Director of Early Learning. A former kindergarten teacher and school district administrator, Dan spent over a decade as Deputy Director of South Carolina First Steps, the state’s public-private early learning initiative. In this role, he championed bipartisan early childhood policy, led statewide prekindergarten expansion, and supported improvements in early intervention and home visiting systems. Dan holds a PhD in early childhood education, a Master of Arts in Teaching, and a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, all from the University of South Carolina. He is a passionate advocate for equitable early learning opportunities.
