As a former teacher and assistant headteacher, now an author passionate about helping every child feel seen, valued, and included in the classroom, my journey into writing began from personal experience, growing up as a practising Sikh child, I faced bullying and rarely saw my identity reflected in books. That stayed with me. Today, I create culturally inclusive, sensory children’s books through my Paras & Pete series, designed especially to support neurodivergent learners. I also deliver interactive workshops from early years to key stage 2, bringing stories to life through play and storytelling. Through my work with publishers SHARE Charity UK, I’m committed to making representation and inclusion part of everyday learning, not an add-on, but a norm.Â
